«   4) a)b)Salim is the big brother he is usually making all the decision and he says that very often ,he is authoritarian and can be really cruel sometimes instead of his little brother he dreams of money and power from the day he met Maman at a very young age to when he joined a gang.

We can deduce that he is kind of a troublemaker for example when he stole a picture signed by the idol of Jamal for money.

Jamal seems to be nicer, calm and well intentioned he is very different from Salim he did everything for love ,he participated to the emission because he wanted to find Latika again and he was sure that she was going to watch it, not to win ,not for the money. When he find her back he told her that he was going to wait for her ,no matter what ,he is completely disinterested by the money whereas Salim died in a bath full of money.   5) Mumbai or Bombay is the capitol of India with 12 478 447 inhabitants in 2011,the most populated city of India ,The 6 th most populated in the world .She represent 70% of the transaction of the capitols in the Indian economy. b) Before to become metropolis Mumbai was a Shanty ?town, in the movie it is the one where Salim and Jamal grew up as kids.

She seems very populated.

Therefore we can see two sides of Mumbai a territory very poor not only financially but socially.

In spite of this Mumbai seems to be in evolution people are progressing and the architecture the conditions too. c) The life of a ?slumdog? appear as a hard one; living in overcrowded places, not really clean with little money and insalubrious conditions.

However people seem to deal with it. d) The film portrays different social rank: - At the beginning for example in Shanty _towns we can supposed that people living there are from the bottom of the social ladder (the Dalits) -When Jamal is working he is serving Nantis, they are at the top of the social ladder, they work in buildings, and they are westernized. e) No it isn't because Mumbai is a developed area whereas some aren't, India has got a very codified society full. »
