California california is a U.S. state , located on the west coast , bordered to the south by the Sonoran Desert to the east by the great Basin of the United States and north by the Klamath Mountains.The capital Sacramento. The Bear Flag is the official flag of the state of California .
The precursor of the flag
was first flown during the 1846 Bear Flag Revolt and was also known as the Bear Flag.
The modern flag is white with a wide red band at the bottom .
A red star is in the area

The bear is a " California Grizzly ", a now
extinct subspecies .
There is debate about the fact that the five-pointed star reminds the
Republic of Texas ( which has an identical flag lone star ) and the bear represents
