Martin Luther King claimed that all men were created equal and he hoped to obtain equality for the Blacks.

He told people not to hate all people of different races, religions and origins but to fight for freedom and equality. Thus, King was to prove an incredibly eloquent spokesman and he largely contributed to ending the legal segregation of Blacks.

His speech mobilized supporters of desegration and prompted the 1964 Civil Rights Act. As a conclusion, I can say that the way all those people fought is absolutely amazing and impressive, they all can be admired for their achievements.

They have expressed their disagreement through demonstrations, speeches, boycotts… and thanks to their struggles, American society has been able to fight and change.

However, today discriminations and inequalities still exist in America.

Finally, commitment may sometimes seem a lost cause, but there will always be hope as long as one person decides to stand up against injustice.

Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. »
