Introduction : Today, the idea of progress is no longer an imaginary concept but it has become a tengible reality. Progress simply implies the idea of development in different fields like science, technologies, economy, education and medicine. On the other hand opposers claim that robots also have drawbacks. To begin with, they are not totally controlable and we can’t trust them.

The film « robocop » is a clear example of the risk we are running if the robots doesn’t retake the message we deliver to it.

Mrs. Weston has clearly put it when she says that no one knows what it may be thinking.

In addition, robots are not completly autonomous.

They always need humans to take care of them and guide them sot they can’t live together without humans, let alone replace them.

Besides, Stephen hawking in his interview warnes us that robots will be superior to and more intelligent than menkind if there are given too much power and will dominate our future life and maybe control us, so giving power to robots is risky.

As far as I’m concerned robots can be helpful and useful in our life because they make it easier and quicker, however we musn’t completly depend on them because we will be running the risk of turning into lazy creature who can’t be autonomous and i think that the progress is useful if we can control it.. »
