Impressions of America.
My trip in United States, At first, I can say that I was very surprised about the education system in high school.I don’t really like their education, I prefer the French one.At the beginning, I was very surprised because it was very different from France. They choose their classes depending on what they like, and where they are the best. It’s better in France because we have classes that are more general, we can’t choose but we work a lot on things more useful. I think that we have a better level than American students. Secondly, they have periods which last 40 minutes which is it not long enough. Plus, they don’t have a break, only for lunch which is like a period. They start early andthey finish early, so they have the afternoon for them but I think that’s its better in France, because even if we finish late we have more breaks and they are longer.I had the impression that most of students didn’t care about “The Pledge of Allegiance”, that they didn’t understand what they were saying, it’s very hypocrite. The only thing I found interesting was the fact that teachers and students were close, I mean that they spoke a lot with each they, they made jokes… I forgot to say that students had same classes every day, it was very boring because they were not one change in the week, every day they had health, French class, Maths, economics, physics, sports etc at the same hour. Now, I’ll speak about the American way of life, I loved that! Even if they eat early, their lives are very calm. Parents and children had good relation, during breakfast or dinner they are all together, and are friendly; they are not always stressed out like peoplein France. They are more welcoming than French one Finally, I can conclude by saying that although I don’t really like education inAmerica, I loved the United States!!!!!!!!! I loved people, cities, the history of that country and the thing that I loved the most was the landscape of United States! Especially Boston and the Adirondacks … It’s very huge and beautiful and when you see that you have the impression that you are in a DREAM! I realized my dream and I am not disappointed! =D
