A f ter, t he re a re p rog ress i n jobs and p r iva te l i fe, fo r exemp le i n
2000 t he average i ncome of a fam i ly of black people is $30,400 compa red to $24,000 i n
1990, i n 2000 many black people have good jobs i n govern men t, pol i t ics and t he pol ice,
i n 1967 made i t lega l fo r w h i te and b lack people to ma r r y and i n 1968 made racia l
d isc r i m i na t ion i l legal i n t he con tex t of buy i ng and ren t i ng houses and othe r p rope r ty.

Then i n 1990, black people
st i l l face p rejud ice i n t he con tex t of buy i ng and sel l i ng houses.

To conclude, we can say t ha t t he p rocess of recogn i t ion of t he Af r ican A me r ican people
i n t he USA has been compl ica ted, long, and had many faces.
