of Melisseus, king of Crete; sister of Ida (1). With
Ida and the goat-Nymph Amalthea, Adrastia tended
the infant god Zeus on Mount Ida (2), in Crete. Later
mythology identified Adrastia with Nemesis, the
goddess of vengeance.
