Gay teenagers driven to suicide in United States, and it's not a recent phenomenon. A harassment from their classmates, many young gay men have committed suicide since the beginning of this school year. A tragedy that moved the country to tears. In this article Jamey Rodemeyer, a 14-year-old high school freshman in Buffalo, N.Y., was bullied. A lot. After years of being called gay slurs at school and being told by anonymous people online that he should die, he killed himself on September, 19th 2011. Unhappily, Jamey was not the only. There was the Tyler Clementi's suicide because videos of his sexual activities were posted on the web without his knowledge on September, 22nd 2011.Two weeks later, two young boys, Seth Walsh and Asher Brown, taken theirs lives because generally being gay is not accepted in the society.

Bullying is define by an act of repeated aggressive behavior in order to intentionally hurt another person, physically or mentally. Bullying is characterized by an individual behaving in a certain way to gain power over another person. Jamey was a bully's victim. It all started when Jamey told his friends that he was bisexual and created his own “It Gets Better” video. He thanked Lady Gaga for supporting the gay community and told the viewers, “Love yourself and you’re set.” But others online did not embrace him. “JAMIE IS STUPID, GAY, FAT ANND UGLY. HE MUST DIE!” an anonymous commenter said on Formspring (the jamey's social network). “I wouldn't care if you died. No one would. So just do it :) It would make everyone WAY more happier!” said another. All these jokes and hater's messages have plunged Jamey into depression and driven him to suicide. After the Jamey's suicide, Dan Savage, a gay activist and author of a weekly section \"sexo\" in The Stranger of Seattle, is particularly angry against \"antigay discourse\" of certain religious leaders. He said : \"The problem is that the kids hear these words, then they go to school and learn that a student is gay. How will they then treat this gay teen who, according to what they said, trying to destroy their family? They're going to bully.\"At the end of September, Dan Savage has launched a campaign video on YouTube called \"It gets better\" where adults tell gay harassment they suffered when they were teenagers. It was not the only celebrity to have an interest in the case ofJamey, Lady Gaga paid tribute with the song \"hair\" and wanted to meet Barack Obama to pass a law against homophobia in all forms.

The increased rate of suicide is for homosexuals young peoples. Adolescent, they are still very vulnerable and often the family gives the death blow. I can't imagine the situation in countries where they are still execute. We are all linked and responsible for somewhere suicides committed by many people. About a derogatory, harassing, insulting, physical assault ect may be the straw that broke the camel's back ! If you imagine the negative accumulations that may have taken too often a person as a target. It does not always think but may because of us, one day someone wanted to end his days without one really realizes the scope of our conduct. Awareness leads to respect and respect avoid many evils if it was applied to the whole world.
