Salacia (The salty one) Roman A goddess of the
sea, usually associated with the sea god Neptune,
likely his wife. Salacia personified salt water and was
said to have fled from Neptune to the Atlantic Ocean,
which became her domain. Eventually, she married
the great sea god. Salacia took on many of the stories
of the Greek goddess Amphitrite.
