Extrait du document
Greek A first-generation Titan
goddess of sight and the shining light of the blue
sky; daughter of Gaia and Uranus; mother, with
Hyperion, of the gods who brought light to humans:
Helios (Sun), Selene (Moon), and Eos (Dawn). She
was known also as the female counterpart of Ether,
the upper air.
Theia's association with the concept of brilliant
light made her also the goddess of gems and gold,
because she gave to them their great value. She had
the ability to see into the future. The people of Thessaly
built a temple in her name.
