Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglass

“Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglass” – published in 1845 - is a novel in which, the author, Frederick, tells his own story about the slavery of the black Americans. He talks about his birth, his identity, his separation with his mother and the constant violence he endured during his work in the plantations and –in brief- the time he spent in the South America. And finally, we can see that despite the facts that he was oppressed and that he didn't have anybody to help him: he learnt to write and to read. The interesting questions that we could ask to ourselves are: Does he do that without any opinion – is he objective?  Then, how were the treatments of the owners on slaves? And finally, why doesn't Frederick Douglass know more information about his identity? Let's see it in the next paragraphs.
