Luxembourg is a rather low landlocked country.
In the North, Osling is part of the Ardennes mountains, a region cut by rocky valleys. In the South, the lower lying Gutland is densely wooded; and is where most of the towns are situated. Almost all the country's rivers flow into the Mosel on the South-East border. Iron deposits have led to the development of a powerful iron and steel industry.
