INTRODUCTION
The consumption of drugs and alcohol in schools is a scourge that subverts
society today.
Students indulge in this scourge because for them it is a new
vision of the thing ignoring that this one destroys them and leads to perdition.
So
what is meant by drug use in schools? Doesn't this scourge affect the life of the
school community? To respond to these different questions we will proceed to
the definition of the following concepts: consumption, alcohol, drugs and the
school environment after we will see the causes, the consequences and the
solutions related to the consumption of alcohol and drugs in the school
environment.
I- DEFINITION OF CONCEPTS
1- consumption
According to the Larousse dictionary, consumption is the action of consuming a
food or a drink.
2- Alcohol
According to the french dictionary « LE ROBERT », alcohol is defined as a
colorless and flammable liquid obtained by distillation of wine and fermented
sweet juices.
It is also a strong drink that can temporarily upset the normal
functioning of the body.
3- Drugs
According to the LAROUSSE dictionary, a drugis a natural or synthetic
psychotropic substance, generally harmful to health, likely to cause addiction,
and consumed without a medical prescription.

4- The school environment
The school environment designates the framework in which school learning
takes place.
