Notion N1 ''Espaces et échanges'' Présentation de la notion et de la problématique the notion im going to deal with is spaces and echanges, to begin with i'd lik to give a definition of the notion. An echange is an act of giving and reciving something elese in return. It could also be seen as a continue moovement or circulation. Their is different kind of echanges : media, people for example immigration, trade. Futhermore this notion deals with the geographical and symbolic areas that all societies occupy and the interactions between men and different societies. So in relation to the notion ''Espaces y echanges'' my presentation will deal with this question: What do borders mean to First Peoples in Canada ? To illustrate the notion i ve chosen to talk about The first peoples in Canada secondly i'll talking about the territory versus the country finally i ll present the recognizing first peoples in Canada. -From sea to sea : The Canda's national mooto is ''from sea to sea''.This refers to the fact that Canada is bordered to the west by the Pacific Ocean, to the east by the Atlantic Ocean and to the north by the Arctic Ocean. Canda have a very low population density ; around 3,5 persons/km^2. Most of peoples live in the South and East of Canada. Furthermore the nuber of inhabitant amount to approximately:34,482,779 in 2011 among this populations there is 1,2 mill...

« -Extreme : In fact, Canada’s climate is as varied as its people, depending on where in the country you choose to live.

Although much of the north has a particularly harsh arctic climate, that area is mostly uninhabited(-40°C).

The most populous regions of Canada, which lie in the southern regions along the US border, see four distinct seasons a year.

Although winter lasts longer than summer in most of the country, the summers are quite hot(+35°C).

Rainfall varies from light to moderate, and there are heavy snowfalls in some areas. Winters are less severe in the south(-16°C).

Temperatures in spring and fall tend to be more moderate.

W ith these extreme temperature Canadians know how to stay warm thanks to heated public transportation sustems.

Some cities have also installed sheltered walkways from on building to another. - Citizenship : The concerns of the border in the late twentieth and early twentieth centuries are not so much goods and This focus has been further developed by the US and Canada.

With the mother, one of the protagonists in Thomas King's short story "Borders," insisting on her Blackfoot identity, she and her are stuck in the middle.

They can not go to Canada nor cross the border into the United States.

The setting of the duty-free store, located "between the two borders", thus acquires a new meaning as a place of refuge, hybridity and third space beyond border binaries. -Stop stealing our land : nawadays many companies want to occupy Natives territories in fact, lot of ressources in north pole territories especially within natures reserves so it will become a probleme if companies want to use those ressouces further, companies want to open shipping routes between Europe and Asia, for that they need to take lands owned by Inuits and been forcibly displaced in Greenland, Canada, Alaska and nothern Russia. -Canada the true North : In this picture i can see on man and his sled dogs, the dogs seem resting, we can see a wild landscape, with a man standing on the ice field. It seems to be very cold, this scene take place on Canada territory because we can sight the Canadian Flag.

This man is probably native, he wants to live their because that's the land of his ancesters, he wants to follow their way of life despite the difficult living conditions.. »
