Laila Douzi Edgar Allan Poe grew up in really poor environment. Indeed he was born into a family of traveling actors. At the age of two, his father left and died shortly after and later on the same year, his mother died too of tuberculosis. Apart from his siblings, he was adopted by The Allan family, which he took the last name “Allan”.
