(Forgetfulness, Oblivion) Greek One of the
rivers of Hades. The souls of the dead were obliged
to drink the waters of Lethe so that they could forget
everything they had said or done when they were
alive. Lethe is sometimes associated with Dionysus,
god of the wine that encourages forgetfulness.
