C-What are you reading? A-Well, it’s a book about fair trade. C- I didn´t know that you were interested by fair trade...   By the way, have you ever heard of FAIR TRADE before? A -Yeah, I found out about it when this dude from Coldplay started scribbling it on his hand for photo ops. I wanted to know more. It about fair prices for farmers, and safe working conditions. C - Ja, I think it´s a great idea and a positive movement for all the poor population who are exploited by international companies. I wonder if we have fair trade products in Belgium? A -of course. Fairtrade certified products are available in manymajor supermarkets and independent shops. You can find all kind of fruits, coffee, chocolates and even beauty products.   But are you really ready to pay more to help poor countries? C -  Yes, we have to support poor countries because this help can bring some change in the situation. So I´m really ready to participate to the fairtrade no matter the price.What about you? Are you prepared to pay slightly more so that producers get fair prices? A - Nowadays I don’t think twice about buying Fairtrade because the products are all top quality. Producers may seem remote from our daily lives, but their families and children depend heavily upon the income they receive for their products. C- Yes, you´re right. By the way do you know another association like Fair trade? A -I heard about CARE: one of the world’s largest organizations which help poor families, also the organization save the children which creates real change for children in needs. Helping those organizations will make me feel better. Have you ever tried to help somehow?what can we do ? C- Well, I think that talking about it’s already a big step. Of course not enough. We can participate on demonstrations or we can help organizations as Oxfam with money. We can donate old stuff like cloths or toys. A – We should do it together one day. It will be really nice.
