mort en 63 Se faisant l'écho de la rumeur publique indignée, le poète latin Juvénal a écrit sur l'affranchi Pallas qui, grâce à la faveur de l'empereur Claude, avait amassé d'immenses richesses : "Ego possideo plus quam Pallante et Licinio" : ce qui, ironiquement parlant, était impossible ! Il fut exécuté sur l'ordre de Néron, le fils adoptif de l'empereur Claude.
