Polar Climates - geography. Resolute, Nunavut Resolute, above the Arctic Circle in northern Canada, has a very cold and dry climate. After three months of little or no sun, average temperatures drop to a low of -33°C (27°F) in February (see Seasons and Hemispheres Map Trek).
