Dante and the latin comic tradition Il rapporto di Dante con il genere comico va letto in relazione a due aspetti importanti: il rapporto con i comici latini ( Terenzio e Plauto) e la scelta di aver intitolato la sua opera più importante “Commedia”. Dante prediligeva il genere comico rispetto a quello tragico prescelto, invece da Virgilio, e intitolò la sua opera Commedia per due ragioni principali: 1.
