Greek Son of Minos and Pasiphaë;
brother of Ariadne and Phaedra. Androgeus was a
great athlete. He beat all his opponents at the olympic
games in Athens, whereupon the jealous King Aegeus
had him assassinated. Subsequently, King Minos of
Crete declared war on Athens.
