Mandela's life in prison can bet cut in 3 parts. First he was imprisonned in Robben Island (1964-1982) next he was at Pollsmoor prison. His life prison finished in Victor Verver where he passed 2 years from 1988-1990 . His cell measured 6m² and at Robben Island black and whites are separated . Mandela was a D class prisoner (political pisoner) he suffured from very bad conditon because he was black but also a D class prisoner, He had to broke stone all day. Mandela studied Afrikaans to show he's a good person. In Pollsmoor prison Mandela had better conditons. He refused the violents actions of his party the ANC. During 2 years in Vester he was under surveillance but he communicated secretly with ANC's leader. Finally he was allowed to allowed to lo leave his prison several times to melt South Africa's President and ministers. The powernment would like to show South African's evolutions.
