Greek A Nymph, daughter of the river
god Cebren. She was loved by Paris when he lived
among the shepherds on Mount Ida (2). Paris deserted

the love of the most beautiful woman in the world,
Helen. Oenone prophesied that this voyage to Greece
to claim Helen would only bring ruin for him and his
country, Troy. Her prophecy came true.
