Southern Uplands. région naturelle du Royaume-Uni, partie méridionale de l'Écosse, constituée de moyennes montagnes, comme les monts Cheviot. On y a effectué d'importants reboisements, mais l'activité agricole dominante est l'élevage du mouton, qui a donné naissance à une industrie textile de qualité (tweed, lainages) animant une série de petites villes-marchés telles que Dumfries, Hawick, Berwick upon Tweed.
