INTRO
We are going to presented the diary of Anne Frank «The diary of a young girl».
Anne Frank was born on june 12 1929 and died in 1945.
She was a jewish teenager who bacame one of the most known victim of the
Shoah during the second world war
Her story has been known thanks to her diary

Anne Frank is the second daugther of Otto Heinrich Frank and Edith frankHollander, she is coming from a medium class, she lives with her father, mother and
sister in an appartment in the suburb of Frankfort.
Anne Frank was in a normal school, she was doing normal activities like gymnastic,
her and her sister were brought up with a passion for reading.
Anne was discribed like a lively girl constently on the go and in need of a great deal
of attention
Due to the difficult economic situation, the family first moved to a smaller apartment
in Ganghoferstrassse in late 1931.
From de 30 january 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor of the Reich,
leading to increased discrimination and violence against Jews.
The parent of Anne could now longer provide their daughters with carefree
childhood and good schooling in Germany, they decided to emmigrate.
Because of that the family was separated in late december 1933, Anne was alone
with her grandmother until february in the Netherlands.
We have an exctrat of a letter Edith wrote for the grandmother…
As we can see, Anne Frank started to get back a normal life in 1934, she was in a
Montessori school strated finding new friends even the teatcher say «she was
likeable, in many things she was very mature»

Anne quikly adapts to her life in the Netherlands.
She learns the langage, makes
friends etc
Her dad works hard but their financial situation isn’t any better.
On september 1st 1939, Anne being 10 years old, Nazi attack Poland.
Shortly after, on May 10, 1940, the Nazis also invaded the Netherlands.
Slowly life
became more and more difficult for the Jews.
For example, they no longer had
access to public parks, cinemas or shops.
Anne's movements were increasingly
restricted.
Her father lost his business because of a law that forbade Jews from
having their own businesses.
All Jewish children, including Anne, had to attend a
school reserved exclusively for them.

The Nazi repression went further and further, forcing Jews to wear the yellow star.
When, on July 5, 1942, Margot received a summons to come and work in Germany,
her parents suspected that it was a pretext and decided that the time had come to
go into hiding.
The very next day they went into hiding, hoping to escape
persecution.
In the spring of 1942, with the help of several of his former colleagues, Otto Frank
set up a secret apartment in the annex of his company at 263 Prinsengracht.
(photo)While they were still hiding Anne received a diary on the occasion of her
thirteenth birthday, her last birthday in freedom.
