ESPACES ET ECHANGES Notion n°2 : Spaces and exchanges I'm going to talk about the notion spaces and exchanges, to answer the question "Does belonging to the Commonwealth still have an impact on its member countries" ? First, i'll be dealing with the British Empire. Then, i'll be talking about Commonwealth, finally, i'll focus on a case study : Canada. To beign i'm going to talk about the British Empire : the "ancestor" of the commonwealth. This empire lasted 500 years and dominates the wolrd (imperalism) like a super puissance. There was slavery and power struggles. Queen Victoria is at the head of the empire was based on trade. Then, i'm going to talk about the british empire to the commonweath. The commonwealth was created in the 1940-1950 after the collapse of the British Empire and the independance of the former colonies. « Notion n°3 :  Idea of progress I'm going to talk about the notion " idea of progress " and more precisely   scientific progress . Il will focus on the following idea : Man­machine, and machine man.  First, i'm going to talk about the  Man­machine . There are many benefits of using   robots : It gain of time and robots can perform dangerous tasks. But, there are many risk   and disadvantages : Robots create unemployment and too much dependence could lead   to health problems. Moreover, the robots can't adapt to unexpected situations.

  In the document, the "intelligence revolution", wee can see Dr Michio Kaku, who predicts   that by 2020 inteligence will be everywhere, pratically in every object. Then, i'm going to talk about the  Machine­man . In the document " I Cyborg" the   scientist Kevin Warwich got an micro­chip impanted intro this arm ; it's enhanced human   beings. some authors have predicted techno­science discoveries but many novels and   films remain "only science fiction". The document "O brave new world" and the document   "From Gattaca to Los Angeles" show the risk and downsides of progress : the cloning and   the standardization of society, and the use of PGD ; choose caracteristics to have a   perfect baby.                                           The documents "I, Cyborg", "The bionic age", "Man vs Machine" and "Design your Baby"   show the scientifics breakthoughs really help people to improve our society; in example,   scientific progress can cure people and saves lives. To conclude, we can see that progress has advantages and disadvantages. Some   countries, like the U.S., are less strict than in France matuere bioethics. California have   fertility insituts.  MYTHES ET HEROS Notion n °4 :  Mythes and heroes I'm going to talk about the notion  "Mythes and heroes " and more precisely  the   sixty in Britain  to show how revolutionary this decade was and how some people or   ideas or objects became icons. To beign i'm going to talk about  the changing time in Britain's society.  There   are two different generations; younger versus older with two different visions of life leading  . »
