« Exposé Anglais Good morning, class.

Today we are here to tell you all about our summer trip to New Orleans and the amazing exhibition on jazz that we attended while we were there. first of all, New Orleans is one of the most vibrant cities in America, and it has a rich history in jazz.

During the 19th century, it was the birthplace of jazz and the home to many of the genre's greatest musicians.

The exhibition was part of the New Orleans Jazz Museum, located in the historic French Quarter.

It was established in 1961 as the first museum dedicated to jazz in the United States.

The museum showcases the history and culture of jazz, from its roots in African American culture to its influence on modern music.

One of the most memorable parts of the exhibition was the live music that was performed.

The atmosphere in the city is electric with jazz, as the unique musical style can be heard on any given day coming from the streets and from the many venues dedicated to showcasing it .It was an incredible experience to hear the music live and to see the musicians in action Whereas The atmosphere of jazz clubs has a unique energy that can't be found anywhere else so I found out that jazz was more than just music, it’s a unique art form that has shaped the city's identity.

At the exhibition we saw instruments, clothes, awards, signed pictures, posters or records, but we decided to choose two objects and tell you about them.

Firstly, throughout the exhibition there was one instrument that always appeared and it was the saxophone so we had to tell you about it.

The saxophone was born in the 1840s thanks to Adolphe Sax.

It is considered by all as the emblematic instrument of jazz. With many famous saxophonists like Charles Parker who have marked the history of jazz, we had to tell you about it.

Then among the objects we saw in the exhibition the one that impressed us the most was the 1958 Grammy Award of Louis Prima and Keely Smith,.... »
