Introduction: The title of this story is "Number Eight" but the original name is "Tales of the Unexpected." The story is told by the narrator, who is Jack Richie. This story is part of a genre thriller and suspense Contain. It is a story of killing. The sequence of events takes place in Canada. I can tell because at lines 17, it is said "The police got all the roads blocked for fifty miles around Edmonton." A driver takes a hitchhiker, maybe not the best thing to do when the radio is full of new serial killer. However, the passenger looks pretty killer obsessed with the discomfort of the driver. He even knows how many victims there were. Development example 1: Firstly, we will see how the climate of fear and uncertainty is created in this story through different example of situation. First, let's talk about the place. It does not indicate a specific location, you just know the action is happening in Canada, and there is a car randomly on a road which runs qu'onques. This creates an atmosphere quite ...

« can see that it is omniscient.

It is also part of the driver's voice.

When he employed “I”, the reader identifies with the characters but when he employed “He”, the readers is distanced from the characters.

The narrator sees the story through the eyes of the main character. To conclude, I would like to say that personally, I loved this short story.

There was a lot of suspense, and the fact that the killer discovers just at the end of the story leaves the mystery and doubt during all history.

At the beginning of the story I totally grew that the killer was a child, in any event I thought it was the driver.

I was very surprised by the twist.

I think it was very good and at the right time.

This kind of literature which I like a lot, it is rewarding and surprising at the same time.

If Hitchcock loved this story it’s because itself made a television series called "Tales of the Unexpected." And "Number Eight went to the same topic as this series, this may be a Thiller has Contain suspense, crime or a concern too, a murder mystery.

Anything like Hitchcock.

He also other titles, such as "The birds," "North by North West", "Vertigo" or "Psycho.". »
