When you obey a parent, teacher or a boss, it has indeed lost its sense of freedom, since it does not do what you want, but what the other wants. The antagonism between obedience and freedom is yet apparent. The law, which prevents me to do my own pleasure, protects Does not some of my freedoms? Similarly, if I follow the doctor's advice, it is not by pure submission, but because that is the doctor (my recovery) is also what I want. What conditions do I obey, therefore, while remaining free?
• To obey is to do what want, what orders another. Obedience implies a state of stress, sometimes tender, and in some cases of alienation. • Giving up is giving up something, or claim to something. • In its ordinary meaning, the word freedom means the power to do what we want. Is free the person has of herself as she sees fit, without coercion or hindrance.
