about black and white friendship; one-on-one friendship has portrayed in movies can not
erase the four hundred years of slavery and white supremacy.
In the movie, Skeeter a young white woman newly graduated journalist, returns in
her hometown of Jackson where she works in a small local newspaper the "household".

In search of an original subject for her article, she asks, Aibileen and Minnie to black
maids for help by telling her the stories of their lives as black maid, how is it to work for
white families.

Skeeter collects the word of the black maids and writes a book, entitled
"The Help".

Like Demott said the idea a individual relationship among blacks and white
will erase four hundred years of segregation, oppression and white tyranny, and make-up
for any kind of compensation is very wrong, Blacks are still struggling.

One of the main problems of the movie is the caricature made of racism.

                                                                                Skeeter,
is open and intelligent, so opposes to her white superficial and moronic friends, in
particular Hilly, the terrible leader of the group.

Deserving of a parody, this stuck middle-
class person keeps a strong hand on her small world and dedicates a hatred without limit,
to the black maid: measurement of the toilet paper used by its help, petition for the
construction of toilet for the employees of color.

While she collect the stories skeeter
becomes friend with Aibileen but the fact that any inter-racial relationships were shunned
by society left Skeeter and Aibileen no choice but to go about being friends in secret to
ensure each others safety.

In one of the first scene where the friendship between black and white is shown to
convey that one-on-one compassion can solve the problems of race in America.

                                                                                Skeeter 2.
                                                                                            »
