The Royal Wedding

In November, Prince William, who is second in line to the throne, and long-term girlfriend Kate Middleton, pose for photographs after announcing they are to marry next year

Middleton, who has known the prince for more than eight years, since they were students at St Andrews University, will become not only the first commoner to marry a prince in close proximity to the throne but also one of the oldest royal brides and perhaps the longest in waiting. In due course, she may also become the sixth Queen Catherine.

The marriage of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton will take place at Westminster Abbey on Friday 29 April 2011. The wedding service will begin at 11.00 am.

Kate Middleton Spending Night Before Wedding at Goring Hotel

Kate Middleton will spend her last night as a single woman in a room fit for a princess. She will be in the Royal Suite of the Goring Hotel, a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace. Complete with four-poster bed and waterproof TV in the bathroom, the rooms have every luxury that the soon-to-wed Kate will need in order to relax before her big day. The palace confirmed Friday that Kate and her family will stay at the hotel on April 28.
